Install & update

1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then install the TillSignal Free ZIP.
2. Open TillSignal → Connections and allow the background order reconciliation to finish.
3. For Pro, install its separate ZIP, activate the annual site license, and retain Free as the required core plugin.
4. Apply updates through WordPress only after a current backup. Local analytics history is preserved on ordinary deactivation or license expiry.

Connections

Only a WooCommerce manager can start, configure, synchronize, or disconnect a source. OAuth connections return to the same registered store, and refresh credentials remain encrypted in the connection service.

After authorization, enter the requested property or account identifier, timezone, and currency. Connection status shows the latest attempt, latest successful sync, quality flags, and actionable errors.

Metrics

WooCommerce paid orders are the source of realized sales. Advertising and email values remain provider-attributed. Currencies stay separate unless a dated conversion source exists.

Gross merchandise profit is net merchandise sales less recognized historical merchandise COGS. Contribution after advertising subtracts recorded ad spend and is never labeled net profit.

Signals

Signals compare complete periods and require their documented evidence. Each finding includes measured values, source freshness, confidence, severity, limitations, and a recommended investigation—not an automatic store or campaign change.

Read-only MCP

1. Install and activate the official WordPress MCP Adapter.
2. Create a dedicated WordPress user with WooCommerce report-viewing access and an Application Password.
3. Connect the client to the endpoint shown on TillSignal → MCP and verify the TillSignal-only tool list.
4. Revoke the Application Password to remove MCP access without disconnecting Google, Meta, or another provider.

Every call checks the WordPress user capability again. No write, arbitrary SQL, generic WordPress, customer PII, or credential tool is registered.

Extensions

Extensions are independent WordPress plugins. They declare the supported TillSignal extension API and dependencies before registering connectors, metrics, reports, signal rules, dashboard panels, or reviewed read-only MCP abilities.

Incompatible manifests fail closed. MCP contributions require an explicit permission callback, bounded input schema, read-only declaration, and output redaction.
